EXPERT MODE

intel video series about the hardcore pc modding community

LET’S BUILD

Introducing #ExpertMode, a deep dive at extreme PC's and the passionate artists who build them. What's the best way to sell rigs? Gorgeous rigs. So we recruited the PC modding community to help sell Intel's new line of processors. What began as gorgeous social posts was up-leveled into a brand webseries serving as a love letter to PC modding artists and their work. It became Intel's most-engaged video content of 2015.

Intel Expert Mode - The Refrigerator Rig

ONE COOL RIG

PC modder Travis Jank invited us into his Idaho, USA workshop to see the blazingly fast, freezing cold computer that utilizes two separate window air conditioning units modified to fit into his case. He calls it the refrigerator rig.

Intel Expert Mode - The Fallout Rig

BOMBS AWAY

Washington-based modders Bob Stewart and Rod Rosenberg paid tribute to the post-apocalyptic video game "Fallout 4" with this rusty, custom PC.

Intel Expert Mode: Rosie the Riveter Rig

ROSIE THE RIG

Modder Brittany Carroll nods her head to one of the greatest WWII icons of all time with a new build based on Rosie the Riveter. Watch her rewire Rosie for the 21st century as she discusses PC design philosophy, high performance and finding her voice as a modder.

Intel Expert Mode: The Simplicity Rig

KEEP IT SIMPLE

Sleek, smart, simple. Simplicity is the philosophy that PC modder Lee Harrington employed when designing his custom liquid-cooling systems.
